For sure, if you’re a photographer or artist and you produce much work, a mat cutter is worth the investment. You can get a small one for a reasonable price on Amazon.com; the larger versions sometimes come on sale at Michael’s or at art stores.

First of all, those are beautiful drawings. Very impressive. I am a photographer and matting is sometimes difficult, or just a step I like to skip. Especially when they cost so much. Getting a custom frame can also be expensive. I have found that getting your own mat board and custom cutting it would be much cheaper and sometimes better than hand cutting it.
