I don&#039;t think the housing bubble came into being during the Clinton years. My house had increased in value at about 6% a year, which is normal in this part of the country. It wasn&#039;t until about five years ago that values started to run amok...which would put the bubble smack in the middle of the Shrub Administration.</description>

		<description>I was appalled by the press conference.  I think the misunderestimate remark was actually deliberate, a joke, but the silence was deafening from the press corps. His remarks about the recession were lies -- as I recall the economy was doing just fine, with no deficet and a huge budget surplus, when he came into office.  Slightly recessed perhaps, with a big housing bubble to worry about, so that surplus would have come in handy as a stimulus, or to address the inevitable foreclosure crisis proactively instead...we got the idiot and now, we are totally f**ked.  Thank all that is good that the grownups are coming back to DC in a week.</description>
