Genius!

Whenever we tried reverse psychology on our kidlet, it didn't work. Apparently he was smarter than us. ;-)

Balance is best, I agree. The lure of the forbidden sugar is so strong.

The converse is true, when we really want the kids to try something, we tell them "you wouldn't like this, it is something only adults like..." Worked like a charm to get the boy to eat jicama salad for the first time, now his favorite salad request. Go figure.

AGREED!

I could not agree more.

BF doesn't really let me eat chips, candy etc.. so when he's at work, I SCARF IT ALL DOWN lol.

But now I don't care. I eat ramen (even though he gets sick looking at it) and I love it. And my kids are going to learn how to eat and taste many different things (even bad things) instead of having us judge for them whether it's good or bad.

Naturally, we will tell them Whoppers are not fabulous and are kind of disgusting (to us), but if he wants one, we'll give one to him and let him judge for himself.. and then limit Whoppers if he gets all crazy about them. :)
