Thank you for sharing how you accumulate money and your overall approach to financial life. I often wonder how people do this...You make it sound so common sense and practical. You are 110% right about getting out of debt. It is a carnivorous beast that lurks behind every turn. Great, logical points.

An approach I use in my blog is to use our dreams to drive financial goals. For example, if I realize my life long dream is to live in Paris for a year my direction in my spending and saving becomes crystal clear. Do I want season tickets to the Cardinals or do I want my dream? Do I want this noose of debt to keep hanging me or...do I want Paris?

It's looking at the why, not the how. If my daughter needed an operation to save her life, and I had to have a hundred thousand to do this, I would move heaven and earth to get that money. If, however, I thought about building a mother-in-law quarters in my home so that my mother in law can move in...my motivation is not going to be the same.
The why can make a world of difference.
Thanks for your post. I'll visit again!

Inspiring once more. I clicked on the link to your post with the Rossetti poem. A great post that I seem to have missed. Or at least I don't remember it.
