He's affable and well spoken, and he goes out of his way to meet people in person. He comes across as well educated and smart. What he does is fly around the country going to potential clients' places of business to introduce himself and propose business relationships. This indicates he has some money to invest in flying around the country. I can't afford to fly to California, much less all over the world. It's not just that he's undercutting the American competition; it's also that he's a very good marketer. Well, this guy Prab is a past master at building relationships. I've given up on writing or editing copy because I'm more interested in sites and not willing to put in the time and effort to find truly good, long-term clients. And everything else I was able to get was earning wages that might have paid the rent in other areas or other countries, but didn't work in DC. Web stuff can also be outsourced, but I'm better-able to find clients. I think some of it has to do with time zones. Maybe some of it is language worries. And most is probably relationships and recommendations. :) I sometimes wonder about that. But I also hope that the various crises hitting heretofore middle-class folks will motivate our gov't to put more Euro-style safety nets in place.
