Earlier this week, the Carnival of Pecuniary Delights went online at Pecuniarities, with a cool surfin’ theme: great photos and music! Funny’s list of low-cost cultural experiences made the cut here. Others had similar ideas: check out The Happy Rock’s guide to free music websites and The Buck List shares an interesting secret you may not know about your local library.

The Make It from Scratch Carnival appeared at Eleventh Heaven’s Homemaking Haven, who kindly included Funny’s recipe for Pedro’s Curry. Over at Dating Beautiful Women, the proprietor figures the way to a gorgeous dame’s heart is through her stomach, and he may have something there: check out his incredible recipe for tiramisu! Here’s something I haven’t seen in a long time: ojos de dio! Several even more vintage craft projects appear at t his week’s carnival—be sure to visit.

Living Almost Large host’s the venerable Carnival of Personal Finance this week. Funny’s rumination about applying for the job opening in Atlanta surfaces here. Money Ning has a nice article about dealing with worry about money. Saving to Invest points out that high-yield savings accounts are now paying significantly more than the money  market; I’m thinking I may park some of my emergency fund in one of these. Speaking of the retirement said fund will help support, Helen Maynard at  Affine Financial Services contributes an entertaining Monte Carlo estimator for retirement planning. And Peter at Bible Money Matters has a really comprehensive round-up of ways to get free or low-cost television.
