w00t! Funny made editor’s choice in not one but two of this week’s carnivals: the Carnival of Personal Finance at Darwin’s Finance (with What’s a Master’s Degree Worth?) and the Carnival of Money Stories at My Journey to Millions (with Identity Theft: Three Ways to Fight It). Meanwhile, Adam at Your Money Relationship kindly included included Borrowing Trouble: Planning for a Government Shutdown in this week’s Festival of Frugality. All three round-ups are full of great stories.
At the Personal Finance Carnival, I especially enjoyed…
• The Incidental Economist’s discovery that used textbooks bring some nice bucks on Amazon.com
• A great essay on negotiating at Man vs. Debt
• Budgets Are Sexy’s comparison of borrowing on credit cards and through payday loans
At the Carnival of Money Stories, be sure to check out…
• Silicon Valley Blogger’s report about Advanta closing her business credit card account
• Money Beagle’s amazing story about a brush with identity theft
• Sticky Wages discussion of sticky wages
At the Festival of Frugality, don’t miss…
• Paula’s guide to what school supplies to buy (and not to buy), at Monroe on a Budget
• Free Money Finance’s tip on a way to save on car insurance
• Patrick’s heads-up about cash-for-clunkers scams, at Military finance Network
Thanks to Darwin’s Finance, My Journey to Millions, and Your Money Relationship for hosting these excellent round-ups!

Glad to see that you liked the post on sticky wages.
And well-deserved fame it is — I really like your posts, and the one on planning for a government shutdown is particularly relevant to my pals in California…the banks there aren’t taking the gubmint IOUs anymore. Congratulations.
