w00t!!! Funny made the Best of Money Carnival this week at Moolanomy! Awe-inspiring…I’ve been trying to get into that carnival for weeks, nay months, without much success. Not only that, but the post, “Truth, the Highest Thing That Man May Keep,” got all the way up to the number two spot! Man vs. Debt’s excellent “Shit That Doesn’t Inspire You” post, which made editor’s pick in the FoF I hosted on Monday, was number one. There are only 10 posts in this carnival, each selected for quality—any one of them is well worth a visit.

My Life ROI hosted the Carnival of Personal Finance, where Funny’s “If I Had It to Do Over” post appeared. Interestingly, given the conversation here about pet dogs, MLR has chosen National Dog Week as a theme. As usual, this is a large round-up with many interesting articles. I especially enjoyed these:

Kyle at Amateur Asset Allocator, How to Invest When You Don’t Have Much Money

Cecil Dellison at Clear Choice Credit Cards.com, The FCRA, Secret Scores, and Why Credit Consumers Are Flying Blind—Again

Adam Baker at Get Rich Slowly, Are Debit Cards Evil, Too?

This week’s Carnival of Money Stories appears at Modern Tightwad, who kindly included Funny’s rumination on how much help to give a family member. Having spotted Jeff Rose’s article earlier and thought how right-on it is, I have to recommend it among the many good pieces that appear:

Jeff Rose at Good Financial Cents, How Much Life Insurance Do You Need for a Stay-at-Home Mom or Parent?

DR at Dough Roller, Five Ways to Calculate How Much House You Can Afford

Dave Damron at LifeExcursion, Top Nine Ways I F***** Myself Over in College

Kitchen Stewardship hosted the Make It from Scratch Carnival, where M’hijito’s recipe for bacon-wrapped figs appeared. This is always one of my favorite round-ups…

Amanda Louden at Daily Diner, Almond Butter Cookies and Weekly Dinners. Yum!!

Liss at Frills in the Hills, Spring Fling 2: Pork Rice Paper Rolls

Wardeh at Such Treasures, A Retro Apron

And Military Finance Network hosted this week’s Money Hacks Carnival, kindly including Funny’s tips on cosmetic uses of lemons. A few faves:

MoneyNing, How to Make a Roth IRA Conversion

FMF at Free Money Finance, What to Do with Your Retirement Savings When You Change Jobs

Patrick at PT Money, Top 0% Balance Transfer Credit Cards–not only gives a short list but explains how to determine a good 0% balance transfer card
