Best of Funny: Pets

Cassie the Corgi , Charley the Golden Retriever, Anna H. Banana the Bat-sh!t Crazy German Shepherd, and Walt the Greyhound have inspired many a post. Who knows how many more will come to light after the proposed new pup invades the Queen of the Universe’s domain?

Best of Funny: Idle Essays

Whenever I don’t know what category a post falls into, I call it an “idle essay.” Some of my favorites (like the one titled “Whither America,” that went kind of semi-viral) have been disappeared by Bluehost or WordPress.com, alas. But here are a few that may occupy some of your idle moments on the job or at home today.

Best of Funny: A Laugh a Minute

Back when Funny first appeared on Apple’s iLife, a publishing platform nearly invisible to the Internet, some wag reviewed “Funny about Money” as “not funny.” Presumably this meant the poor soul didn’t understand the difference between funny—odd and funnyha ha…which is kinda funny in itself.

Best of Funny: Economy

The worst global recession since the Great Depression changed my life, as it did many others’ lives. Consequently, I spent a fair amount of time thinking and writing about the economy. Some of these posts are surprisingly good.

Best of Funny: Household Hints

Early in the life of Funny about Money, I wrote a lot of household-hint posts, mostly because my role model, Trent Hamm of The Simple Dollar, practically filled his blog with frugal housekeeping strategies.

Believe it or not, two of these things actually went viral — the one on conditioning your hair with olive oil and the one that proposed doing the laundry sans detergent. LOL! I should write more of this stuff!
