Wunderground claims the outside temp is a mere 93 degrees, here at 11:23 in the morning. Couldn’t prove that by me…I’d have put it closer to 100. Maybe even over 100, come to think of it.
Google‘s weather page puts the humidity at 18%. Right…sherrr…
Weather.com: 14%.

Probably not.
SDXB tried to talk me into moving to Sun City when he decamped for that garden spot. Answer to that was No! Not on your life!
- Partly because I’ve lived in Sun City and overall hated it.
- Largely because my son is here in central Phoenix, and I ain’t moving away from him.
- Partly because I sure don’t wanna spend that kind of money for very little (or no) improvement in living conditions.
- And no doubt we could come up with a bunch more good reasons, if it weren’t too damn hot to think just now. 😀
Truth to tell, I believe the only reason I would move away from the Funny Farm would be to decamp to the San Francisco Bay Area. And that would be only if my son moved up there.
For my purposes (retired, professional goof-off, lover of warm weather, dawg owner extraordinaire, morally opposed to work), Phoenix is as perfect as you can get. As cities go, it resembles Southern California burgs such as Long Beach or Anaheim. It’s well supplied with nice stores, decent restaurants, & things to do. But… add to that: its cost of living is well within reason.
Why would anyone go anywhere else? 😀
Yeah, there are more sophisticated places to live. But….
