I have read quite a bit about this…And how a “madman” …Hitler…gained control of a fairly sophisticated German population. One of the first things that he and his supporters did was to outlaw “freedom of assembly”…then they gained control of the media and provided the “truth”….what we know today as propaganda. IMHO a well informed…engaged population is crucial to a Democracy.
