She had endometrial cancer. It’s often curable, if caught soon enough. Apparently her case wasn’t, though.
I had read it was “uterine cancer” and that it was very similar to the cancer that took Gilda Radner… Am I mistaken or is this just a “sub-set” of endometrial cancer? I swear this cancer is just awful. 61 is too young to go…..
Endometrial cancer, I think, would come under the heading of a type of uterine cancer. The endometrium is the lining of the uterus.
It’s odd, given that she must have had decent medical coverage, that it wasn’t caught in time to save her life. What a shame!
